Best breakfast buffet ever! Yummy.

The weekend breakfast buffet justifies the name of the place as that is what you are going to look like once finished with your breakfast. This is a completely delightful experience for the taste buds. Enormous variety and yet distinct flavorful taste of each dish. Scores of pies, puddings, cakes, croissants, cinnamon rolls and everything else that you can imagine probably. Add to this the freshness and the warmth of the owner Sally and all the other people who run the place. Any visit to Grand Lake or the Rocky Mountain National Park is incomplete without a Fat Cat experience.

Buffet with lots of unique and typical breakfast food! Something for everyone who likes breakfast and about 12 different pies. I agree with what someone else posted "it's like grandma's cooking" and the cat figurines add to that charm. The owners are very kind and seem genuinely friendly. Not a bad price for all you can eat too!

If you are going to be spending any time in Grand Lake, you will need to add this place to your to-do list! Super friendly atmosphere and the owner is wonderful. The food is set up buffet style and is chuck full of amazing home made items like pastries, scones, pies and one thing in particular that I hadn’t had in years... scotched eggs! I’ve barely scratched the surface of everything that was available. I will be back, most likely every time I’m in Grand Lake ;)

Couldn’t find a thing in the buffet that wasn’t amazing. Also they labeled which foods had meat and got granular enough to specify some dishes contained pork, which I appreciated. Really goes to show that it doesn’t take a huge, fancy chain to deliver great food and great customer service. The owner would come around to tables and check on folks in a timely manner, and was very sweet!

This place is the cats pajamas. Pun intended. Service was great from the minute we walked in the door. Their breakfast buffet has some awesome options, and everything was hot and fresh. Also, their pies are AMAZING. If you go for the buffet save room for the pie! Or better yet, start with the pie. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

A good place for breakfast! The buffet was nice!They had tons of pies there, I had the cherry almond pie, it was super good.Place could have been a little cleaner but overall it was very nice. The staff were super cool and nice.I like the cabin aesthetic to it. I would at least recommend trying it once!

Cozy little place with a large selection for the buffet. Some items were really good and we homemade where other items seemed processed. Bring am appetite for the buffet to make it worth it.

Absolutely amazing. Hidden gem. Breakfast/brunch buffet to die for. Go. Never stop until you get there. Also, pies. So many pies. All you can eat pie. Heaven on earth. Food is amazing!!!!!!

Homey and relaxed atmosphere. Delicious food, loved the Scotch eggs. Sunday brunch was around14.00. There were more desserts/baked goods than anything on the buffet. Did not try them but they looked good. Friendly owner, likes to chat. :)

You HAVE to come here for their weekend breakfast buffet. Came at around 9am on a Sunday morning and got immediately seated. Yes it’s $17/person but they have so many choices and everything is so good! Real eggs, crisp bacon, legit pieces of breakfast sausage (not the junk you find at most breakfast places), and you can’t skimp out on the dessert section with a very large assortment of pies, cakes, scones, and pastries. That’s what makes this place unique is you get a filling of the salty stuff then finish it with some delicious pieces on the bakery side. Great service and great food!

What a quirky place! My husband and I loved the food so much, we came back a second day! The food is incredible, and the owner is super friendly. Definitely worth going to.

This place is great!!! So glad someone took over the building and put some delicious food there, breakfast was great, can't wait to try lunch. The staff was awesome.

I enjoyed the environment and the food. I had the burger with chiles I believe. Funny cat theme inside. Waitress was nice. Food took a bit of time, but it was busy. Biggest negative is that it was over $30 for 2 drinks and burgers. Still worth trying out.

Meal was very good for the price. Not too much food and not too little. Also the cat decor is amusing. A bit of a wait so make sure you arrive early around 8am.

A delightful cafe in a large timber building.I had pancakes which were some of the fluffiest I'd ever had.My only constructive feedback is they need to start offering espresso based coffee. Not everyone is a fan of the diner style brown water that some Americans call coffee.

I was around the Rocky Mountains for a week to do some hikes and stumbled upon Fat Cat Cafe. Sally’s food is absolutely amazing. My friend and I went three times in a row on a weekend for their buffet. It isn’t just some regular buffet where the food is reheated and rubbery. Every single dish of hot plate and desserts was worth it. We even went back to ask if we can take some to go. If you are in this area , I would suggest you to go to Fat Cat Cafe. Do NOT miss out on this!

Cute, cozy, and welcoming place. Food was great, and they were very accommodating to our vegetarian diet and went out if their way to make us happy. The quiche was delicious!

Such a great place! The price is beyond fair, it's only $17 for an all-you-can-eat buffet(including a dessert bar with a million pies and endless drinks!!) on the weekends! And on weekdays they have a menu breakfast that is also very fairly priced! The food is beyond amazing, the staff is fantastic! And they have many options for people with dietary restrictions!! The owners are so sweet, Sally loves to chat with people as often as she can. Their new location is very nice! It has a much bigger and brighter dinning area. Overall I am so happy they are open again and I hope everyone will visit the Fat Cat Cafe!!

The couple that runs the Fat Cat Cafe are just delightful. The food was delicious as well. There is such a huge variety of things to eat you're not sure what to try first. Would highly recommend. We went here for breakfast 2 out of 3 days in Grand Lake.

We wanted to like this place so bad! Sweet and friendly owner who clearly loves her work. The food however was disappointing- we came at 10 on a Saturday and for $17 a person the buffet was lacking. The big thing being we wished everything was warm! Cute name and nice people, but wasn’t for us.

This buffet is Awesome ! Very good food. Service was friendly. We had a 1/2 hr. wait for 3 of us but we were told to help ourselves to some coffee while we waited.

Visiting from Minnesota with my wife for our honeymoon. Came in this morning after camping in the Rockies looking for some hot coffee and a simple meal. By far, the best food we've ever had! Staff are super friendly & accommodating. Food was so out of this world!!! 5/5 definitely will visit again!

Breakfast buffet was worth every penny. I haven't eaten food that homemade for breakfast since my mother passed away. All is made from scratch and if it isn't, then I don't believe it.

We came through this town this past Saturday morning and stopped in for breakfast. Buffet was amazing. Great selection to choose from. They had little turnovers that were really good and everyone we spoke to was very friendly. Next time we're in the area we'll make sure to stop back in.

Cozy diner-like atmosphere but with a mountain twist. Cats decorate the whole place. The biscuits and Gravy seemed made-from-scratch and we're delicious. Even though they said they were short-staffed, the service was excellent. .

Plain and simple. Gross!!! Bacon was good and the Binet. Cinnamon roll was tuff. Do t go thinking biscuits and Garvey. They were . tasteless So wished I had took my wife up paid and left and went somewhere else Run!

Wow all that down home baking!Went for the Sunday brunch buffet. Had to wait 30mins for a shared table. It was well worth the wait. Some of the best cream pies I've tried in a few years (usually my wife won't let me order pie).Keep on cooking! You guys are doing an awesome job.

Great breakfast buffet on the weekend. So many choices. Awesome staff. Told the owner / head chef that we would be back the next morning. She immediately started thinking of something different to put on the buffet, even though there was no way to try all of the items on the buffet that morning. Several options and she let us pick. Cant wait to go back!

The 1st time we went to this place we met the owner and the service and food was phenomenal. This time I went in no one waiting, I was told someone would be right with me. Then another lady walks in and the girl immediately greets her and knows her, so she grabs her pad and asks her what she needs. I immediately asked if there was a problem that I was just passed over for her friend. So she told me, oh I didn't realize you were waiting. How she couldn't know is beyond me. So I told her I had a to-go order that I would like to pick up. She responded with I don't have your ticket and proceeded to take her friends order. I did get my order just after that but it was just thrown haphazardly into the bag everything was just mixed together, the food was not of the quality it was the first time. So at this point it is a 50/50 chance on what you are gonna get, we will try it one more time, but at this point there are some concerns.😔😟

Breakfast and service was good. More traditional breakfast than the 'Bakery' down the street, but I'd pick the 'Bakery' based on the meals/coffee we had at each.
